Dry Heat Baseball Charity

Dry Heat Baseball is dedicated to baseball instruction and the push to revive inner-city baseball and  for kids to experience the excitement of baseball. We provide clinics to help give kids the opportunity to gain the skills needed to become better ballplayers. The inner city baseball programs have detoriated over the years and in some instances do not even exist.

Dry Heat Baseballs mission is to restore faith, hope and confidence in these youth to help them improve their lives through the sport of baseball. in our short existence we have helped many youth over the past couple of years on an average of 30 youth per year. We are expecting more youth each year. This program is gaining momentum the need for equipment and baseball uniforms is growing.

We are asking for donations of any amount of $50.00 , $100.00 or $150.00 or even above to give these unfortunate kids the opportunity to experience baseball and learn from seasoned coaches. We seek to provide a positive experience, but also thrue baseball give them a sense of who they are as an individual boosting their self - esteem. Gangs and bad family situations seem to send kids in the wrong direction and we feel  baseball through this organized program is a step in the right direction.

Again if you could please provide any donations to this upstart and upbeat program it would be greatly appreciated. Checks can be mailed to Dry Heat Baseball  4818 north 42nd place, Phoenix,AZ 85018. Please check our website for additional information at http://www.dryheatbaseball.com/  or make other inquires at jefe1212@yahoo.com . We thank you for your support to this orginization. Practicing Under Pressure

There is an important part to practicing under pressure. The more intense the practice the easier it will be for your athlete to play on game day. I like to define it as, practicing in a similar manner closely mimicking the games. One of the most important ways of doing this is to create an atmosphere of intensity and pressure in practice. Practicing under pressure forces players to focus, to use adversity, and learn to handle everything that may come their way.

I want to touch base on controlling mental mistakes. Baseball slow and leisurely pace, can be dangerous thing for those aspiring to win. If idleness finds its ways into practice, this lack of intensity will contribute to mental mistakes. Players that simply go thrue the motions in practice will quickly find that the game is a different story. The ability to excel at unexpected events in a game or other pressure situations comes from that moment- to- moment intensity achieved in practice.

The Hitting Drill: right side and pull

Sorry we are having a problem with posting the last two videos.. Heres the hitting drill video. Good luck with your game..

RIGHT SIDE THE WINNING SIDE.

Sorry about no updates , I'm presently in season and coaching my team. I wanted to share with you two videos that we incorporate in our practices. The most important thing covered in these videos is the ability to hit the ball to the opposite field.

Very under taught concept that is not taught now a days. Going right side wins games, moves over runners and brings out power in your swing you didn't know you had. If you are looking to raise your batting average and power numbers, these two videos are golden to you. As you will see there is a lot of failure in the hitting drill, but mastered you will learn to adapt to pitching in a game like experience. REMEMBER RIGHT SIDE IS THE WINNING SIDE......
